The wood/epoxy surfaces must be cleaned with a soft, well-wrung cloth soaked in water only or with a mildly soapy solution such as Howard's Cutting Board Cleaner. Once dry, treat with the Butcher Block Conditioner oil. (Instructions on the bottle) . Temperature and humidity affect how the wood/epoxy expands and contracts. So try and keep in a safe climate-controlled environment.

Our wood/epoxy pieces are intended for indoor use only. Always protect wood/epoxy pieces against sharp, HOT objects, strong solvents and moisture. Water, coffee, wine or any other kinds of liquid spillages must be wiped away immediately. Use mats and coasters on wood/epoxy pieces to protect the surface. Ensure to always protect the wood/epoxy pieces against rapid fluctuations in temperature and humidity. Do not place the wood/epoxy pieces near or against an extreme heat source. Take care when using colored candles on the wood/epoxy pieces. Colored wax will stain the wood/epoxy. Do not use strong chemicals, alcohol or abrasive cleaning detergents to clean the surface.
